Lucky to own a WM LT40HDD35, blessed to have a wife that encouraged me to buy it.     Now that\'s true love!

Joe , my neighbor and I are thinking of adding a second one to the fleet already. And possibly the Hookeroon. We grabbed onto some good size logs today and it bit in nicely with no slips .

Logrite is good quality stuff!

No skimping on any of it.

the hookeroon works good when making firewood.  Saves a lot of bending down.  When is Logright making a short handled hookaroon?

Now you just need an ARKY model for the big logs.  Then you will wonder how you ever lived with out one.  Need to see if I can get them to make them in red.

I may have mentioned this before on here, I'm cheap !!! If you don't believe me ask my wife she will back me up on this. I thought about getting a Logrite for about 2 years .Thoughts like these have to season awhile before I act. Now I'm kicking myself for the two years I was without one and I want a second one already!

I'm cheap too but I don't like to work any harder than I have to and I don't like to mess around with things that tend to break.  We have four LogRite cant hooks.  Right now there are two in the sawshead,  one on the Terex and one at the firewood processor.

How short do you want?  They have more then one length. 24 is pretty short.
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

i thought the logrite was hype until I tried one several years ago, now I own a pile of them:

2 of the arky super sticks
1 60" peavey
1 60" cant hook
1 48" cant hook
1 36" hookeroon
1 log scale (second one, left the first one while I was out for an estimate)

Woodmizer LT40HDG25 / Stihl 066 alaskan
lots of dull bands and chains

There's a fine line between turning firewood into beautiful things and beautiful things into firewood.

I keep hinting that the 72"er might make a good gift.   I reckon I may need to buy that one for myself ;D

Whenever I saw for someone, they always pick up one of the cant hooks.  You can tell they are impressed by what can be moved without a lot of effort.   In fact, I am still amazed at times.  GREAT product.

I have five or six now. I gave Ironwood most of my old wooden handle hooks. They just weren't profitable to keep around. I still have two wooden handle peavies that are sort of old favorites, but they don't get used much anymore.

I credit Log Rite for saving me from at least one serious injury. I have a handset circle mill, and my helper and I were both standing on the log deck while turning a monster size log. We take turns getting another bite, I hold the log steady while he moves his hook and vice versa. Well my hook slipped off and the log started rolling back. The helper stuck his in and stopped the log from rolling back on my leg. With an old fashioned hook you might need two or three tries to get the hook in the bark. Not with a Log Rite.

What you want is a pulp hook. A friend of mine keeps one on his fork truck for moving dunnage blocks around the yard. It's about like a hay hook, but has a replaceable hook bit.

I repete myself but a pickaroon is easy to make from an old pick you find at yard sales for next to nothing.Torch cut one end off then shorten and refordge the outher, sort of a square tip seems to work best.If you like a short one cut the handle.Dandy tool to pull firewood chunks out of your truck.Frank C.
