Larry

and 250,000 BF she left me as I'm becoming too old to turn her logs.  She was also showing a bit of animosity towards the new lady in my life.  Probably jealous of all the levers on my new love.  I did give her a new battery, grease job, and fresh fuel before our last meal together...a really nice cedar log just a few short hours ago.

We were both virgins when I first brought her home.  We made all kinds of stupid mistakes but she showed her loyalty by paying for the land we now call home.  A quick tear was shed as she went up the drive on her way to a new life this afternoon.

May she continue sawing in harmony with her new mate.

I finallydecided I was never going to use my old saw again and gave it to a freind the other day. Hard to turn it loose, but it was just sitting there going to waste. At least now it will have a little work to do.

It is a little sad.  I remember getting rid of our first mill a couple months ago to be replaced by a B-20.  I hope the new owners are treating her right, but sawing with the new one makes it all seem worthwhile.  Levers are good.

I sold my first will to Warren here on the forum and have kept in touch with him just to know how she is doing. I have never been connected with any other equipment that I have had till that mill but watching her go down the drive way was like watching your child leave home for the first time.

i hate to have to point out my own ignorance.

if i had found the forestry forum earlier, my first and second circle mills would probably still be on the home place and set up and running. i had some troubles with the blade dishing on my m-14 and i didnt know how to go about getting it straightened out. i even went and talked with a mill near me that runs a circle headsaw, but they were no help. they wouldnt even tell me who to call to doctor my saw. i never got the big saw set up at my place simply because i couldnt make the m-14 saw work.
i do get along with my bandsaw and have no regrets about buying it.  i was a little saddened by seeing the circle saws go down the road.
heres a new one    TGIFFF.     thank God i found forestry forum.
