I have a frick sawmill and I need some parts for the mandrel.  Any info would be helpful.  I think it is a 00 .  I have tried to up load pictures, but have not had much luck at that.  It is not a belt drive.  It has two drums in the mandrel.
thanks

Welcome to the Forum.

Do you have Stan Lunstrums publication "Circular Sawmills...and their efficient operation" ?

If not, it is a good source for you.

You can see it here.

If your pics are in .jpg format on your computer, then click on the Java Uploader under this message window and follow the prompts (after setting up your own gallery in your profile). Once you have loaded the pics you want, clicking on them will open them, then just scroll down a bit to the line that is in green color. A click on that line (or copying the url) will load your pic in this message. Click the preview button to see your progress. It is easier than it sounds. :)

Welcome to the forum.
Keep trying with the pictures.   It is a little confusing at first but once you do it a few times the system works quite well.
From what I have seen and read a Frick seems to be  a pretty good mill.   I think  Frick is still in production under the name Frick Co.  They still make sawmills but are quite a bit more modern than the old 0 and 00.  I don't know if they stock any parts for the old mills or not but they may be able to help locate them.  May be worth finding out about anyway.
What parts are you missing anyway?
       Well, goodluck with your project.

Give Albright Saw Co. a call, 740-887-3799. They do a LOT of shop work on the Frick circle mills. They build saws, too. Well equipped outfit. They should either have your part or can make it.

thanks for the welcome and the info.  I will try the pics again.  I have contacted the company that makes the Frick mills and they sent me a PDF file of the parts manuel, but the mandral in my sawbox is different from the parts manuel.  I have not been able to find a picture on the internet of my mandral on a Frick mill so I am beginning to think that my mandral my be from a different brand mill.  Mine has two drum type wheels with a leather cover on them.  One is forward and the other is reverse for the carriage.  The reverse drum is wore out and that is the part that I am needing.  There are not any belts that run the carriage only the belt from the motor to the mandral.  I have a 1966 Pontiac engine that runs the mill.

Some of those friction wheels can be rebuilt.  I rebuilt the drive wheel on my mill by cutting circles out of a wide bailer belt and sandwitching them together, I was able to use the wheel off of an old brush hog for the reverse wheel.
