Hydrangea.

Is it getting enough sunlight? They will grow in the shade, but not flower. They also like a low pH soil, lots of compost

Colours can vary depending on the mineral content of the soil, aluminium, iron etc. They should flower in almost any soil, but you can get different colours depending on the soil type.

Yeah, they need plenty of water, but not wet soil. They grow well here, and I don't think Jim has a lack of water there in the RAIN Forest.  :D

Jim my grandma used to grow them and from memory to change the colours she would burry steel nails around them and put epsom salts around.

I have a MIL like that.  Doesn't get her nails done and she turns blue.   I hear that if I stand in a circle of salt, she can't get to me.  I wonder if Epsom Salts work any better.  :-\

OK  It´s in the full sun in the center of the patio with some added compost.  Time will tell.

Thanks for the input.

Tom, salt and a man of steel like yourself, not a good mix. ;)

You can also vary the color by adding lime or lemmon juice to the soil. They'll turn purple and be very pretty to look at.
