Yep Dan is as good as they get plus you will like the saw, the 7900 is fast out of the box

Makita sells Dolmar saws, so it there's a makita dealer near you then bingo.  However, as may have been mentioned, Dozerdan will offer you a suped up rig that kicks.

Dan Henry will give you a deal on a saw that will do more than just look pretty in the back of the truck as well as do all of your daily jobs. His work is first rate, 5 star quality.

Just to eliminate any possible confusion, Danny is a full fledged Dolmar authorized dealer and sells stock Dolmar saws and parts. He also offers modification (power porting) services, but you can still buy a stock saw from him if you wish.

I'm not exactly a fan of the design that dolmar uses on their saws for the airfilter covers, but I will say that it does look like they are quality saws to me. the rounded cover design on the smaller saws is a real strange one, looks like something you'd expect to see on a saw from the 50s or 60s but not quite on a modern saw like that. Oh well, its not my choice in the end anyway so theres my 2cents.

oldsaw-
I've heard that the new rounded styling on the Dolmar is a comfort feature. Supposedly, it is easier when leaning on/ over the saw to file the chain, or when leaning into the saw on those big cuts (Why would someone be leaning on the cover when making a cut?). Idunno, just what I've heard. If I were to even consider looks when buying a saw, I would say that it was slightly more attractive than the boxy looking Husky/ Jonsered/ Solo/ Efco/ etc.

RockyJS I'd have to agree with you.  I'm still kind of astonished at what a big ugly brick my new Stihl is, whenever I open the case.  Makes me laugh a bit.  The makita blue is a nice calming one, too.

The 7900 has incredible anti vibration. Its even smoother than the 372xp, and I thought the 372 was the smoothest saw out there.

Makita And Dolmar saws are the same. We have the Red Dolmars, but I have seen some of the Blue Makita's.
Let me know if you have any questions, I will try to get them answered for you.
