If you don't want any more, too busy,or want to hunt or fish, they will flock to your mill.Ever notice in the fall when you want to sneek off into the woods everyone shows up and have to have it right now. Frank C.

Around here it's the busy season whenever the time for spring planting comes. I'm in the fields now, and there is 15,000 foot of logs waiting on me.

I would rather be trying to figure out how I am going to get it all done then trying to figure out what I am going to do. ;D

Frank, I think you're assuming a cause-and-effect relationship where it's probably a coincidental relationship. Just to get technical :D :D.

You think, "I want to sneak off and fish. That causes everyone to show up." That's cause & effect.

I think, "Some people like to fish in the fall. Other people want to get their project done in the fall." That's coincidental.

Reason I say that is, I don't want to sneak off in the fall and that's still my busiest time. And like Jake says ....

;D ;D

I've noticed I can cause it to rain up at camp just by planning a trip. Does that count as cause and effect?  :D

I have some customers tell me they will bring logs on a certain date.  They end up bringing them two to three weeks later.  :-\  I could be hunting or doing something else instead of waiting on them.  ::)

You will have to run and hide.
And to think, I always thought all those other guys in camo were other hunters.  Turns out it's just you sawyer types trying to hide.   ;) ;D

(btw I really hope to be one of those 'sawyer types' soon....ish....maybe....hopefully)

Not if you always plan your trips in the rainy season :D.

I have that problem to. Every time I'm away from the milling site, the cell phone starts ringing regarding milling work. But is that cause and effect, or just a coincidence?

Let's see ... a lot of customers drop by the mill to discuss an order. My cell phone number is printed on the side of my office trailer. I'm not there, they have my phone number, the phone rings.

Yep, I guess that one is cause & effect :D.
