The S.S. Badger docks in Ludington.
I belive the fares are higher on the new ferry, but it's twice as fast.  :

Actually there is also a third ferry that has been trying to start up on the southern end of the lake. It's only a passenger ferry but they want to have three or more ports of call. It's called the Tatobam, from Fast Kat Ferry. Their website is down also.  :-/
