Lyles lumber planer

As your probably all aware, Lyle got himself an ALCO planer. So of course a new project was set up. He did the skid work and then lucky old me showed up. After setting the planer on the skid we mounted the 'new' power unit to it, without wanting to waste anytime we set about hookoing them together and firing up the motor.

Excuse the blurry pic, i was trying to get it recorded before i went deaf.
More work is to come on this new project

Is that ALCO as in American Locomotive Company??
LT10G10, Stihl 038 Magnum, many woodworking tools. Currently a farm service applicator, trying to find time to saw!

We both spent sometime tonight trying to research it ourselves, but alas got no-where.
The plate mounted to the side of it says "ALCO Edmonton". So its a Canadian company, or so we think, more research is needed and any help/info you resourceful guys can give will be greatly appreciatted..

I can't seem to find any info on it, however vintagemachinery.com mentions it, simply saying it made planers and matchers during the short lived boom after WWII

Really appreciate the videos, but would suggest mounting the camera on a tripod, and pan "slooowwllyy" so it isn't just a blur. ;) 
Anxious to get some idea what the pulleys are operating when possible,  but no rush. :)
