2012 Texas Youth Hunt

Texas has a short youth hunting season prior to the general season, and some of out kids are successful.  This is from a local board.  Our effort to keep hunting, and hunters, alive in Texas.

I'm surprised you are allowed such a high capacity mag for deer hunting. I've always only seen up to 5 rds. max.

They are tiny deer, but will be good eating.

In Maine the Saturday,the week before the season starts is for youth. Than the Saturday just before the season is for Maine residents only. Than on Monday everyone can hunt.

Just to clear a point, these are kids in our community, none are mine.  These are posted on a local board and I like to see the kids get some attention, maybe folks to join here.

They have the youth hunt here over a weekend in mid September. The youth kill some very nice trophy bucks over that weekend. Some are bucks that most of us would like to see while hunting the regular season in November.
