Does anyone have a suggestion on how i would go about finding someone to saw two 16" (12 to 14 feet in length) logs into boards for me without my having to haul the logs somewhere?  the logs are located in Perry County Ohio.  i don't know if this forum is the place to ask this question, but i didn't know where to start.  thanks

Couple of options: search the web for custom sawyers near you, contact Woodmizer to see if they have any owners near you, do the same for Timberking, Hud-Son, Norwood, LucasMill, Baker, or contact a local tree service and see if they know anyone.

The other option is search the members here on FF for your locale. They would know better.

At the top of the page is a "find a database" you can inter your info there and find one. Welcome to the forum.
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

Welcome to the Forestry Forum.

You came to the right place for some good advice.
Will look forward to hearing more about the logs, and what you plan to do with the lumber.

Definatly come back and give us your input.  I have found the greatest folks in the world here.  Heck,  You will end up buying a mill if you hang around here long enough.   All kidding aside, this is an awsome forum full of people who are willing to share their knowledge and expierence and have fun along the way. I am pretty new here , about a month now and have learned a lot.  You should have no trouble finding a sawyer that can meet your needs.   Pete   Chesapeake Virginia splitwood_smiley splitwood_smiley splitwood_smiley
