Did they cancel Ax Men? I havn't seen it and can't find it so I was wondering if they finally "Axed" it? :P

Let's hope so, they were a bunch of fools at the end of it.

I thought they were a bunch of fools right from the beginning. That show didn't do much for the image of loggers.

Unfortunetly, I look for it every Sunday night. Is it made up, yes, did they jump the shark, yes, will I watch it next year, yes.

These "reality" shows are so......FAKE! smiley_annoyed01

Was wondering about the show this morning.  Did a search on Direct TV for Ax Men, no results found.

The over the top indicator that the show is staged is the show where they sunk logs in the side of the landing to stack logs against.  When they showed the backer logs failing and the whole pile going down the side of the Mountian, you could tell the operator threw a large log against the backers.  No doubt that this "accident" was staged.

I miss swamp loggers, that was a great show.

didnt really notice that part but my question was why in the hell would you stack your piles parrelell to a steep bank so the could roll away ::)

watching that show is like looking at the sun.you know you shouldnt but you do anyways

I admit, I watch it to, but fast forward through a lot of it. Shelby just makes me laugh like hell!  What a life. I vote that I also miss swamp loggers. They must have been too clean and nice.

Shelby cracks me up.  I watch i as i enjoy looking at the equipment.

Swamp Loggers was good, pretty much seemed real to me.  Folks want to see drama, I thought I read that the Goodsons would not be interested in staging drama/fights.

Most of the loggers and foresters that I know and work with don't watch Ax Men anymore. They just can't tolerate it. ;)

I know I can't watch it now. As I said on the other thread I really enjoyed the first season. I felt it was very educational for someone like me that have never seen west coast logging. The second season they kinda got away from the education part and the third was all about acting out. I gave up on the third season.

I had to watch it, just to see how much dumber they could get, and that they did ;D

I like all Shelby's ladies, especially gorilla hands, one tough looking woman.

Durnig a safety class the instructor let the cat out of the bag!said the producer of american loggers told the peliters(Logging company from main)to go out and buy 2 new trucks!company said wasn't  in the budget.producer said hey are buying them! 2 brand new shiney trucks arrivred at the shop and the guys starting fighting over who's getting which one.bossman came out and said no one is getting a new truck.we are going to smash them!gess hollywood does have alot of money. One thing i did notice with these shows is that it made me little famous(not that i would ever want to be).seemed like every time i wrote a business check people would confirm that we log and start asking all types of questions.we don't have cable tv in our town so for while did't know what people where talking about.we have gotten some videos for christmas and realized why i work alone most of the time and why don't they use those yarders around here?

well in Canada we have only seen year 2 lol i think they are on 5 now.  but i the only reason i watch is to see what Shelby up too. i enjoy looking at the equipment. Shelby just makes me laugh i just watch off the internet is the only way we get to see.

Oops! My concussions have seem to have got the best of me and I mixed some things up. The discovery channel does a good job with American Loggers showing how the Pelletier's run their logging operation in Maine. It does show in small writing the trucks being wrecked is a reenactment. Axe Men definitely shows the bad side of logging and should be on during soap opera time
