What kind of air filter is better then  the original for a Stihl MS660?

What is the problem with the Stihl filter?
old age and treachery will always overcome youth and enthusiasm

With all the different filters on the market I was wondering if there is an advantage over the original Stihl filter.

Guys are saying the HD2 stihl filter is a good upgrade over old HD.  They also say to run a pre-filter cover on the new HD2 filter to help even more.

The old HD filter does have some advantages over the HD2. It is more rugged. Easier to clean. Easier to dry.And does not have the problem of getting fully choked in the event of it getting soaked with fuel, as a result of a carb overflow or an engine flooding.
Stihl also has a filter system similar to the MaxFlow.
This is a pre-filter (0000 141 0600)that goes over the regular filter .
You can get a supporting plate (0000 124 1000) to use in case you want to use it without the filter cover.
This filter system is good for very hot, dry and dusty conditions.
The pre-filter is a thick sponge that can be easily cleaned.
Some of my customers use them during summer months.

I had this filter which came on a 066 back in 1998.It was a rarity to be so I saved it, but misplaced it.
I found it today.
It is a wire mesh filter but with thicker mesh and metal reinforcements. And it weighs more than the regular wire mesh filter.
I have to weigh it sometime.
