I have heard nothing good about the micro lock on the timberjack. Has anybody had problems with this. The skidder i am looking at has it on it, i Was told by another logger to put a hand brake system on it before taking to the woods. Any info on this would be a great help.Ted

I have a micro lock on my international and had one on my treefarmer both worked fine but I don't trust any of them especially when working on a side hill.

I installed the electric solonoid micro lock on both my 21's  and haven't had any problems, still use the blade as a safety though depending on the circumstances. The main concern with micro lock is the condition of the brake cylinders  and mastercylinder and if they are bleeding off, there really isn't much to go wrong with the micro lock it's self.

This is the in line lock that holds pressure to the brakes? Just rebuilt my brake cylinder and put new pads on my 225 and the lock seems to work.... from what i hear one shouldn't trust them to much... I still use my blade all the time.

Ya it is the inline one just be carefull with this. i still use a tree as a brake on hills with our treefarmer which has a hand brake and even this brake system has failed before.
