I will  be had my AGM  battery in my LT70  for 6 years this coming May and still going strong, never had a problem. Just wanted to put this out there for maybe those who are new and have never used one. They are well worth the money.  Was checking prices for my son in law this past week because he wanting to get one for his boat and Woodmizer is the cheapest place I could find to get it even with the shipping and tax,  $265 total for the AGM 8A31 Deka Intimidator  On of the local parts stores wanted $490 plus tax for same battery. Woodmizer puts them in all of there bigger mills to start with now.

Thanks Craig.  My problem has always been that I did not have a heads up on when the battery was starting to fail.

With my "always on" voltmeter I should now have an indicator to now alert me.

I am assuming that is showing battery voltage with key on and alternator output while running. Great idea.

Actually it is showing key off and the alternator output with the engine running.  When I turn the key on there is an immediate drop with the hydraulic solenoid and the glow plugs energized.  I wanted to have an indication of what the battery voltage is without any draw so the voltmeter is always energized.  The LED's draw virtually nothing so that is of no concern.

Where do you have it connected to? And where did you get it?

It is an eBay item and was less that $10.  Look for marine voltmeter such as this: EBAY LINKS NOT ALLOWED

In the first picture you can see the red fused wire that connects to the engine starter.

Not all AGM batteries are created equal.  Deka makes good ones and they are made in Pennsylvania.
