Woodland in South Central Indiana

This is my first post to this forum.  

I have 95 acres of woodland in Brown County Indiana.  It was planted in scotch pine back in the thirties.   I harvested some of those pines back in the early 90s for pulp, but the local buyer went out of business.    Now most of the pines are down and natives species are now higher than the remaining pine.   I have a few large hardwoods that are large enough to harvest and had quite a few medium sized  hardwoods that were taken down by a storm this spring.   I would like to sell this timber.    Tulip, maple and some hickory and cherry.  I also still have some scotch pine standing that I'd love to get rid of.

I would like to harvest and transport the logs to a local buyer near the Brown County area.   Does anyone know of mills or buyers that would work with me?

Welcome to the forum, pull up a stump and set a spell. 

For the best effort, contact your local state forestry organization and have one of their foresters check the property.  In the long run, a consulting forester may be your best bet, all depends on your goals on the property.
