New member from southeast Texas, just purchased a harbor freight mill and found this forum doing some research afterwards, probably the backwards way of going about it but hopefully it'll work out, I believe it will anyway, the mill is a couple of years old, previous owner used it a couple of times and set it aside, paints not even worn off, just weathered a bit, medical issues forced him to sell off most everything he had, bad situation, he was asking 1100.00 for the mill, box of blades and two 20' sticks of 3"x3" angle, I decided to take a chance so I paid him and loaded it on the truck, I've used my buddies lt40 to cut some lumber and siding for my home and have always wanted one but just couldn't justify the expense, after playing with the HF mill I can see where it will be very handy around the homestead, I can also see where I can make some improvements also, hopefully I can tap into the knowledge here on the forum when I hit a stumbling block, thanks for having me, Dave

Got a lot of standing pine on a couple of properties I'd like to thin out some and make use of lumber, also have some storm blow down ash logs I collected several years ago I'd like to make use of although I believe the butt cuts of the ash may be beyond the limits of this mill, time will tell, I move things around with my massey mf50 backhoe with forks on the bucket and I also have a 10k crane on my service truck that is very handy.
