can car 20 winch

Hey everybody i just joined the forum, i just bought a treefarmer c5d with a can car 20 winch. when i looked at the skidder the winch worked fine pulled in fine, freespooled very easy, but wouldnt lock. i got on it today and the winch wont do anything. i guess i need to try and bleed the winch brakes and was wondering where i do that? is there a bleeder valve inside the winch or do you crack the line on top of the winch? any help is much appreciated!
