I have a used 660 and want to know or there's a way to find out the year by the serial number. My own saw is running good and I think it is built in 2009, but for a new project I want to purchase a used 660 but the sticker on the brake lever is gone...

Call stihl, with the serial number they can tell you what year it is, where it was sold and who the original buyer was, did that with an 044 i bought new in 1992. I had the phone number in my phone, if i can find it i'll post it for you.
