There were a few trees that have been blocking out internet signal, so today I decided to rectify the issue. It was somewhat of a challenge just getting to them in 3' of snow, but I managed to get there. The first 2 were red fir that I should be able to get some good siding out of come spring. The next was a tamarack that I'll probably cut into firewood this spring and the last was a standing dead red fir that I pointed down the hill so I could possibly dig my way up to it with the tractor to drag down for right now firewood. That all worked out good. I even made a trip to town and picked up a new champion 27T log splitter. This is the first time I've really used one and I think I like it 😁 I cut that whole tree up and didn't even break a sweat 😓

If no pics, then it didn't happen! ;D
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

With the old fashioned 8# Armstrong splitter. I'm pretty sure they're going to be collecting rust from here on out though.

Yes, the internet is working now. It worked okay when there wasn't any snow on the trees, but whenever it snowed we'd lose signal for a couple days. That's not very handy since my wife is taking online classes with liberty university. So, I guess I fell some trees so the wify could have the WiFi 🤔

I'm glad to see that you consider education a priority.

I hope you don't 'discover' 3 foot tall stumps in the spring. Splitters are marvelous. I did all my wood by hand too until 4 years ago, then life got good and I had more of my own time to use on other things. Besides, I am getting older. Good on ya.

2 of my daughters are scheduled to be married this summer, so I'm guessing grand kids should be coming along before to long.
