I have a whack of logs but no way to cut em up. This is a mix of Ash, Maple, Poplar, Cherry, a couple Sassafras, and a couple Aspens. Some of the poplars are 32 inches at the butt and 50 feet long. Ah maybe someday my mill will come in and these logs will be history. I also have 2-3x this amount of Ash still standing.

OH man, you sure have a plan laid out! 8) I helped a friend put up 200' of rohn 55 a 'few'years ago. It was a 1 year project and had stacked 40 meter beams. He has 3 other towers with stacked 20's and 15's and 'other stuff' then about 2 miles of beverages. I used to be an active contestor but left the game in around 2005 for other things. I'll get back to it when I get more feeble and retired. I had a few top tens, more top 20's and some sectional wins. It's an expensive sport. I also had trouble staying up and running for 48 hours straight. Good luck with your plans. I was there once and had a great time building it.

I borrowed a friends bucket truck and installed a 50 ft tower with a hex beam on top and a 8 element 2 meter beam. We sit on a ridge about 600 ft above the surrounding area.

Location is everything, sounds like you have a good height above average terrain which will be great for VHF and give you a good take off angle on HF. Depending of your view toward Europe and over the pole, you should have a banging signal. I used to hunt a mountain about 15 miles west of hear and I could use the 5 watt HT to have conversations with friends 100 miles away because I had a 'view' of the Hudson river and that acted like a conduit to the southeast. VHF can be fun, but mostly I like working the south pacific and used to have some regular rag chew friends in NZ and AU on 12 meteres. I miss the bands, but there is too much to do in the woods now. My stuff is not currently 'in service' but I run a 70' tower with a 5 element tri-bander on top, a 3 element fixed on Europe at 50', the upper guys are tuned and switchable 40 meter slopers. There is a 2 meter stick above the 5 element, some 440, 220, and a 2 meter beam on side mount rotators. ( I used to run a packetcluster node.) Then there were the wires that were all over, none that are left are serviceable but over the years there were many. One year when I made a hard multi-op run in ARRL DX and CQWW I think I had 16 antennas running on HF 10-160 meters. I never really got above being a little pistol though, but our club always did well in the club scores and they are still at it, hammering away.
Best of luck with your place.

Do you need someone to mill these for You? Or have you ordered a mill and waiting for it to arrive? If you need someone to mill your trees. I can put you in contact with a couple guys around Fairmont, that have portable mills.

W8AT

I would be interested in hearing what they have to say. I haven't bought a mill yet, in process of building a house. I was just going to stack them for now and start seriously looking for a mill after the house is done, hopefully around the 1st of August.
