So last year I had to replace my H bridge.  At the time I couldn't find any one to fix it.  So I bought a new one and was back in business.  But in this day and time I couldn't believe that NO ONE fixes these things.  It is just a circuit board.  Well with LOTS of looking I found a company that said they would look at it and tell me how much it would cost to look at it and let me make the decision to fix or trash it.  Now at this point I had already bought a new one,  so I was really only interested in a SPARE.  So they called and said it would be 360.00 to fix it.  At that price point I wasn't interested,  and that is what I told them.  Immediately they said 220.00,  so I said for a spare I can do that.  Comes with a 18 month warranty from the time it is put back in service.  As I told them it is a spare and that may never happen or it may be in 9 months.  They said no problem.  Let us know when you put it in service and the warranty starts then.  Anything out there better than that on getting an H bridge fixed?
If you are enjoying what you are doing,  is it still work?

A new one?

H bridges are fairly simple and very common.  A quick check on ebay found hundreds of them being sold for less than $10.  Granted they might not work, but at the same time I can't see why the WM H bridge costs so much.  I would take the time to investigate and see if I could find a substitute at reasonable cost.
