Hey all,
Haven't ran my skidder all that much lately but I was exercising it the other day, getting ready to move to a new woodlot, and noticed the brakes are dragging a bit.
It's not enough to slow the machine down, but move it around a bit and you can feel the brake disc is hotter than it should be.

This is a 666C model, the brake is a disc/caliper on the driveline in the rear section, not internal brakes.

I'm guessing it's just slides on the caliper being a bit sticky. Any ideas, thoughts before I tear into it?

If there are any rubber lines in your brake system? If so the rubber can wad up on the inside and cause your issue.

I have had that and it seemed not to be bad but it did start a fire about 30 minutes of working and man was it hard to put out

Had a similar problem on my 518 Cat with the same results as ehp. Not sure what type of brakes on a Clark, but I have air over hydraulics on mine. Found the plunger rod coming off the air diaphragm had enough dirt and rust that it would not completely release the  master cylinder.
