The Ford Gt you have to be on a special list to get one.
Might cost more than the red one.
The beam work is wonderful Sir

I don't know anything about the cars except that they are expensive. Here is a pic of one of the column supports, carbon fiber with alder trim. The contractor that I produced this work for  uses me a lot for specialty woodwork and is a great guy , easy to work with.
On another note the table top , subject of this post originally, was kicked back for refinishing last week. Ugh.

This weekend I'm cutting a guitar in half and making it thicker for a musician .

What do you mean the table top was "kicked back" for refinishing?  I thought you didn't have a customer?

What are those spindles/handrail branches?

Bedroom?  Are you going to work so late you'll nap there?
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

The never ending table saga,,,,,,,,Turns out the customer changed his mind about the sheen level and my men spent two days trying to grind/buff to the "new" look. This involved travel , materials, and loss of shop time. Mysteriously a few scratches showed up during packing at the customers end. So,,,,, on the third day I had my guys bring everything back to the shop, strip the finish, and respray with a slightly different coating that will buff out. A single fly got into the finish ,,,,,,,so we will rework again on Tuesday.
The spindles are a room divider/staircase to the new bedroom area.A pic of making the "branches" hand rails. No napping,,,,,,no sleep,,,,,

Did anything ever get resolved with this table?  Just curious as it's such a magnificent piece.

Yes Brad, We picked it back up from the customer and completely re-finished the entire top. Re packed and redelivered it a second time. What a mess !!!!!!! Rob

Curious, since they changed the sheen level and added a few bonus scratches, did you guys get paid for it?

Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

Be smarter than the sawdust
