homebrew kubota tractor cab with heat

I started this in 2016.Did i say I was slow!
This fall I closed in some large holes next to the loader supports and installed hot water heat.The side panels are made of ½'' baltic birch.The panels have about ½'' side clearance to allow for loader flex.The heater is the smallest made by Northern Radiator.I had to remove the loader valve and hoses,fit the panel and re-install valve and hoses.I new it was going to be fussy work that's why I put it off for so long.The upper portion of the cab is 1½'' square tube with wood frame panels and lexan,doors the same construction,all removable for warm weather.
Now I'm ready to plow snow skid logs in comfort.

Nice work. My dad built one for his little Kubota as well. He made a little write-up on it you might find interesting. I'm sure you both ran into many of the same problems. Life on Highway 9: Building a tractor cab.

After he built that it wasn't much longer before he upgraded tractors to a M5040 with a factory cab. That quickly spoiled him.

Is that WDEV sticker the radio station Ken Squire own's? Trying to remember from my trips up to Thunder Road back in the day.

Nice work on the cab. I had to double check that those lower panels were birch, not aluminum or sheet metal. Looks great

Alan,You father's build was inspirational.Being a carpenter I chose wood for most components.I don't think I have as much patience as your father.

GranitestateMP-Yes that is a WDEV radio station sticker and Ken still hosts a Saturday morning music show called "Music to go to the dump by".He is a one of a kind treasure in these parts as well as in his association with Nascar.

You're going to love having that cab and heater. For my dad it made moving snow a labor of love rather than a hate job. He just couldn't get over moving snow in shirt sleeves.
