Cleaning out a wood shop of a departed hobby craftsman. Lots of power tools. I'm sure this goes to one of them but can't figure out which one or what it does. Any thoughts?

Backstop for a jointer fence maybe. 

What kind of jointer ,did he have?

Looks like part of an older craftsman router table I once had .

Could also be part of a compound miter saw table.
