Someone gave me about 30 Loblolly pines to cut down. I want to make my own tongue n groove boards for my ceilings. 6"x5/8". I wanna sawmill them within a month and install right away. Can I do that or will I get too much shrinkage, and I'm installing with finish nailgun with 1 1/2" nails.

It's not just shrinkage (which you will have), but also putting up green wood for a ceiling is just asking for old and fungus on the side that's not getting any airflow.

I'd want them dried down to under 20% before I used them inside. You will still get some shrinkage at that level, but fungus wont grow on them.

Pine dries pretty quickly if you have good airflow, shouldn't take long to at least get them "safe" to use.

You can build with green wood, but you basically have to let the wood dry in place before you seal things up completely.

On top of what Ian said you will have significant issues trying to do the millwork with green lumber. Planers and moulders need dry stock to get good results.
