It's the one with a pedal to go forwardered and one to go reverse. I believe they have a torque converter. Some call it a reverse o matic I think. Anyone run one? Should I steer clear?

We have one in a Massey 40b and it has been trouble free and  20 years ago it was working at a sawmill moving logs and lumber.

Had a 5000 Iron Mule with that tranny.  Worked great and trouble free for the time we had it.

Is it a hydrostatic unit in front of a gearbox like the little asian fords?

Ok. Thanks guys. Mike I believe they are close to an automatic trans. It has a torque converter and a pump and two clutch packs. One for reverse and one for forward. Then the two pedals activate the drive. Almost like a lawn mower today. You can still buy the clutches and the pump off the internet.
