Got my winter blade lube set up today.
55 gallon drumb of -20°F blade lube with hand pump.
No more one gallon jugs lugged from the store.
Simple things make me happy.

I am usually happy with anything that keeps me from straining my back and shoulders, my son doesn't though.

He's the solution to the problem most of the time!!  :D

Bruno what are mixing with the washer fluid?

Bruno of NH

WB,
I just add some Dawn dish soap.
And belive it or not the real dawn works the best.
I think the soap helps with friction but it could all be in my head.

That is a wise move for a number of reasons.  I was advised today by my local NAPA salesman that window washer rated below -20 is not available for the foreseeable future from NAPA thanks to apparent COVID shutdowns with suppliers.  I was not sure if the -20 windshield washer antifreeze would develop the same issues or not.  Not sure if this just NH or nationwide.

Nice. We usually only get a couple weeks of below freezing weather here so I can get by with gallon jugs. I'll probably borrow your idea and get some drums to fill with water and a pump. Right now I'm carrying it in 5 gallon cans because the mill is too far from the house to run a hose. I suppose I could bury 500' of black poly water line and install a yard hydrant, but who has time?

ORielys quoted me $190 for a 55gal -35 barrel
I only used -20 last winter so I went with that.
