Hi all, Do the numbers stamped near the hub area of a blade mean anything I have what appears to be a f followed by 1279 and under that is stamped 69 with an x below that, any guess  Thanks

What diameter is it
I assume its an inserted tooth blade?   Possibly an "F" pattern if I read your post correctly

What Diameter is it?

My wall art blade

The f is a 5 we think so iam guessing that is a serial no. the no. below is 67 not 69 if that makes any difference Its a 48" saw with b9 teeth and shanks

R. hoe and simonds also payne stamp their saws like dgdrls says. B [and F] saws have been made for a long time, over 100 years I believe. The patent protection would have expired a long time ago when there where many firms making saws and they stamped what they wanted or even nothing at all that lasted.
