Hi Everyone, my name is Louie and I have a problem....I now own 2 J5's and will be looking at a third today...a Ram Skidder. I know how this goes and I've done this with many other things I become addicted to, that being said these are awesome and right up my alley!

Located in Ottawa Valley Ontario.

I bought this red J5 with trailer last week and inherited a few problems of course, needs some work and I generally am a video kind of guy but can post some pics as well.

The yellow one with blade has 13.5 wide tracks, hydraulic pump off a belt on the motor. Looks like it had the jet fighter hinged cab. Lots of good parts on it.

My plans are to use the hydraulic pump on the red machine for the trailer steering instead of the honda pump (already removed it).

Issues:

1. Motor mounts - are shot...engine pretty much slams from one side of the engine bay to the other.

Need engine mounts all around.

2. Just started running with a miss- that is a bit intermittent. Looks like a fuel line is crimped a bit and Carb kit needed, upper bowl gasket leaks. Drained the bowl no change, went up a hill and ran better for a while - possibly Fuel pump?

Needed:
BB Carb kit square top carb - I think the Hygrade 101A is needed. See video coming soon.
Fuel pump
Fuel filter

3. right side control lever oscillated when driving, still runs great - I suspect the drum in out of round - is that a big deal?

Video of my new machine - video of parts machine coming, I'll be posting lots of videos of these machines on my other YouTube channel "Rolling up my sleeves" while skidding logs for my log cabin builds.

You bombardier guys have some fun.  There are a couple of others on the forum.  Do a search and you'll find their names.  You can ping them to get their attention.  Sure they'd be interested in your projects.
