left hand vs right hand

so i know nothing about circle mills ,just bandsaws ,,  what does it mean if its right handed or left handed,,

Right hand manual circular mill the log passes the sawyer on the right side. Left hand is the opposite. If the sawyer is sitting in a sawyer cab, right hand would be the log passing the saw from right to left.

The 'hand' of a sawmill has to do with where the logs come in and the lumber goes out. Or you can put 2, l/h and r/h to- gether  and merge the lumber coming off both, [a mill not far from here is doing that]   And in the beginning it depended on which side of the river you where on!
