Isn't that a protected Federal land, probably filled with holes and lead!  :D

Doesn't mean it is bad.  Cottonwood has it's uses.  Noticed my local seed guy has a board that had been lasered with Channel on it, appeared to be cottonwood.  And another guy I know had a piece of old cottonwood, he wanted me to identify it, hard as stone.
Most everything I enjoy doing turns out to be work

Lots of guys on here with many years of sawing experience with many types of wood. For sure if they have sawn it, they can remember the Oak, remember the Hickory, remember the Walnut, remember the Pine, maybe someone can even remember the Alamo.  ???

Somewhere else on this site I heard it said that Cottonwood is the Rodney Dangerfield of wood. That it gets no respect!
Change is hard....
Especially when a jar full of it falls off the top shelf and hits your head!

Local wind direction is determined by how I park my mill.

Actually, the feds (little f) have nothing to do with the Alamo.  It is owned by the great folks of Texas.
