There are a couple of U.P. towns I can think of right off the bat that have painted moose statures in town. St. Ignace, has a red white and blue one on highway 2  right near the !-75 ramp, and Manistique has one outside, I think, the Big Boy restaurant that is wearing a tux.  I have seen several others but not sure of where

They have all these Buffalo running around in Oklahoma City.

 Got poking around on the site. I`ve Seen the big hauler dump in Theford mines, they have several that big. They Also have some BIG SHOVELES in the hole. I heard they were the ones used to dig in the panama canal
There was observation building off the hiway . Looking down everythang looked small.
 
there was a cap for one of the theeth of the shovels there. It was about 6ft long and about 2 1/2 ft high.
There were pics of maintance using the buckets of one shovel for a makeshift shop for big hallers.

Buffalo, NY. sold a few dozen 2 years ago (fiberglass critters) :D

Toronto, ON. sold a few( Bruce type) Moose a year ago.

We don't need no Dang moose statue. More than enough live ones on the highway for everybody ;D Lenny, I think they moved them big shovels to the Fort McMurray tar sands. HOLY CRAP, they have some big toys to play with.
