Good choice!  The most popular sizes are the 48" and 60" tools.
Magicman is correct we make 3 size hooks.
All tools 48" handle length and shorter have our smallest hook with grip range 8"-32" diameter
the 60" handles have a grip range of 10"-36"
the Megahook has a grip range of  15"-45"
As for which style is better, it really is a matter of opinion.  Prior to the explosion of the internet and youtube videos there seemed to be a regional preference.  In New England where people had access to Peavey Mfg they were peavey people.  Down south where Dixie was the main source for cant hooks, people preferred cant hooks.  Now, educated consumers have to decide for themselves. ;D
