Hi guys,

I hung around on here for a year or two while I was trying to figure out how to build a timberframe barn. Long story short, it took me a year, but I managed to pull it off.  I didn't do a "real timberframe", that would've simply been too much work for my situation, so I ended up using that T-Rex brackets from CT Post and beam, but that's not the point of this post.

I started with a pavillion, I completed it. The pavillion gave me the confidence to build the barn, now the barn has given me to confidence to build a home....Here's my problem.  I already have stick built blue prints for the home, I was wondering if someone on here has the ability (and certifications if needed), to change these prints into a post and beam plan?

I've chatted with Jim Rogers in the past, I assume he's still around, so he was my first thought, but I can't find his email address.

Anyway, any advice is appreciated!

I have no idea what I'm doing, but if I keep reading and making mistakes, I just might get somewhere.

This should do it.
@Jim_Rogers
I think you got enough posts to click onto his user name in any thread and send him a PM too.
He's at the top of this thread.

Congrats on your successful projects!

Jim can (and will) certainly do a great design, but in most locations you'll need a local engineer with a P.E. Stamp to review the prints and stamp them before the building department will accept them.

I'll send you a pm with Jim's new NC based phone number.
