Thats right, no safety considerations what so ever.
I posted a video earlier asking for comment on how I cut a dead tree full of widow makers down. There were some remarks, not here, but elsewhere about the high stump I left. Well, it was all in the plan :)

A good plan!!!
I thought on the high stump you were doing it so not to make so much of a target and be able to move away quicker if limbs started to fall on you.
Being bent over makes it harder to get away.

Cool. All you need is a beverage and a little wood block to put yer  feet up on.

Good on ya! I never comment on a high stump anymore, there are a lot of good reasons for leaving some. It's just when folks cut everything with a high stump for no apparent reason that I wonder why.
I have made many of those stump chairs, especially if it's on the edge of a field. They don't last but a few years, but some folks get a kicjk out of them and it's fun and only takes a few minutes with the design I use. But I like yours with that arms. I may try a variation on that the next time I do one.
 Nicely done and fine art.

Great chair and beverage table set. ;D I had to leave some high when felling popple this weekend. They had pistol grip buts and then some. Went back and cut them low, and had one that I could not split, the grain was too wild. This is wood that normally takes only the effort to lift the maul over your head and bust the block with one swing. Not on that one, she's now beetle food. I gave'r my all. :D

Tamarack is tough split'n like spruce or elm. But love it for firewood. :)

That's what I do when felling a dead tree with a widow-maker. Smaller target for dead limbs coming down (a good percentage of that target is covered by my hardhat) and I'm able to make a quicker getaway.

A 35 Rem fan with a Marlin 336.  Is it SC, RC or ADL?

I like the chair and table.  Very cool.

I have two. I have the one my Dad got free in the early 1960s with the purchase of a furniture set from Godwins furniture store. Its a short little carbine that I shot my first buck with at 14. The second I swapped my 444 for after my 3rd shoulder operation. I bought the 444 just out of High School when I was determined to move to Alaska before lust got in the way.  :D  Couldn't handle the recoil anymore.

For the first minute and a half I was wondering what the heck you were doing... Jet stove? Then I understood and it's great!

I leave some very high stumps to allow the backhoe to wiggle the whole thing out but now I'm considering this! The table is too cool!
