My neighbor is a scrapper and he called me yesterday because he ended up getting some sawblades. Bought these from him along with a mongo c-clamp. Already used one of the blades for on top of

My father had a set up like that for years to saw kitchen wood. Small wood.
That mailbox would catch my eye.

   Looks neat!

I saw lots of blades similar to that in Norway used as firewood cut off saws hooked to the PTO of tractors at little landings all over the place. The most common hardwood available seemed to be small diameter birch (3"-6" diameter) and they'd use saws like that and a series of roller tables and cut to lengths of about 1' and stacked and sold or transported for use in what looked like one cubic meter bags.

They looked very simple to use. They also looked real dangerous as I never saw any kind of guards in use.

I'm with barbender, I love that C clamp! Never seen one with a wheel on it like that.

Although I call it a c-clamp because that's what it resembles, the end of the screw has some sort of rectangular fixture on it which makes me believe it was used for something specific. Either way, I like big hardware. Maybe it was the one uncle fester used on his head.

It also looks like some mighty "fast" threads.  ??

Found a spot for the other buzz saw blade and shaft. Put it out back outside of my sliding doors. That way when I'm sitting in my recliner not sawing, I can still see one.
