here we are unloading the solar kiln and putting in another load. The birch dried good some small mold spots but just on the surface. The juniper dried excellent cant wait to build a project with it

hi there just got back from the big ligna fair of woodworking and forestry in germany and heard the first time of solar drying of wood, how do you do it and how big is your killn?  looks small just like i need it.  did you build it yourself? thanks for the reply.

yes home built 12x7 ft solar powered fan  dries real slow but in no rush. I dry  one load a season about 500 ft could do 2 loads a season but no time. the plan for my kiln is to be found on Woodweb. there is all the info you need on the web just look under solar powered kilns, if you have plenty of time anyone can dry wood.
the birch I took out today was good the juniper was even better
