Like I said I have never even heard of these farms but I know growing up with goats that some of them had to be milked 3 times a day. Mink might even need it 4 times a day. SS that is what you can start growing in Kansas. Just think if you got it certified it might fit up there with almond and soy milk. Those things can't be easy to milk either.

Anything is easy...with the right equipment. I'll bet YH could find the right milking equiment for that job, given enough time and $.

I'm lost!  Are we now milking lumber released from Jake's ranch out west?  Or are we milking mink?

Of course I've been away all day.

Back to the weasels .Somebody claimed on FB they had a dozen hens killed last night by a mink of which they dispatched .Problem being it was 12miles away from that mink farm .I find that just a little hard to believe .If they can travel that fast it will  be about midweek I'll have them in my back yard .

Next thing you know the farm will be getting sued for a wild mink that killed a flock of chickens in the next state over.

You have to milk these things for as long as you can.
I am in the pink when sawing cedar.

I was reading about this last night, and a very similar thing happened in Minn. in 2017, where 40,000 mink were released.  It said the loss was 750 thousand for the farmer.

The same article said all but 10,000 of these have been "accounted for", whatever that means.

Back before I left KS in 1973, the state fish and game had done a quail survey some year in the 1960's that found feral housecats to be a major factor. No Fire ants there to my knowledge.  Here in KY same thing on the ants, but loss of habitat has been mentioned a lot. Bushhogging everything in sight matters for quail who depend on certain, sometimes minor plants for their food and shelter. I had a wild, small covey here in 1978 that dwindled away over the next few years. When I left KKS a covey of 25-35 was very common in the east.

Hey thank you for your service. Read and understood the rules before signing up. As a service disabled vet I believe I know bull when I see it. My comments were not political, so there's that. 8)
So.... This post got me banned until December 1st.
Do have a legit question for the admin's. Where in the FF rules does the prohibition of posting anything political exist? Because with all my Naval Intel tng and experience I am unable to identify any such prohibition. Just saying.

You really do not know when to quit? do you? If you like this forum and the amazing helpful people on it, and still want to be part of it. Then this would be one of those times to just deal with it and move on.

Or take it to PM's so the rest of the thread is not boogered up with it.

Thank you, please drive through.
