I had one of the sections of the black plastic segmented hydraulic hose track pop apart on my LT-70, (it's starting to sag) and it was relatively easy to put it back together, but it got me wondering.

If a section of the flexible hose track broke and needed to be replaced, is it possible to do so without removing all the hydraulic hoses and just pull out the one section of track and replace it without removing all the hoses?  It looks like it evens have a top snap in section, I could probably pop it off with a screwdriver, but I figured I'd break it trying.

Yes, I have had that happen and always have to YouTube the how to on putting it back together. It's not hard at all if you follow the right method, this was discovered after saying "ahh, I can put that together" and fighting for about two hours.

Exactly the same procedure I used. :D :D But I never found the YouTube Cliff Notes.  The pieces finally clicked into place but I don't have any idea what I did. :D

Once mine started to sag on my 2003 LT70, I replaced a few links to try and straiten it out...Didnt really help. At about 8000 hours, I replaced the whole chain.. IM at   16,000 hours now and its due again. I do have a 6 foot extension so maybe that exasperated it...I dunno for sure......regardless, the above was a good laugh for me this morning. Thanks

it depends on what type of track it is, I've worked with some that is solid segments.

If it is the type that opens the outside plate should pop off or hinge out.

Try it near one end that way if it breaks it shouldn't affect it too badly.

the hoses/wires should be secured at both ends of the track.

Stick a narrow screwdriver in the slot in line with the chain and push it down on the tab that is in the middle. To reassemble press back together.

If I was sawing stationary. I'd rig up a overhead wire and hose system like Cooks uses on some of their mills.  Steve
