poulan 2300 cva issue

I have a 2300 CVA that spits fuel out the vent hole in the gas cap when running. I tried another gas cap same thing I may be filling to full with gas. Any ideas?

My initial reaction would be to plug the hole but it's probably there for a reason. Wonder why it's spitting all a sudden if it never has before? Maybe you have two bad gas caps? Wouldn't think there's much pressure except maybe from temperature change like leaving an oil can in the sun.

Thinking that there is a duckbill valve in those caps.  Yours like most is probably missing.
