390xp

390xp, has there been in the past or available now a 390xp clone?  No I do not want one, just trying to avoid buying one used by error.

Hard to declare a negative Dave, but I don't think so. Farmertec did the 288 and 395, along with the 372 in 4 or 5 colors. But I've yet to run into a clone 390.

I'm guessing you wouldn't buy one sight unseen, so the quickest way to reassure yourself is to check for a legit serial number tag. Then, there's the question of what AM parts might be present. Important items like the cylinder, coil, and carb are pretty easy to identify as well. 

Finally, with the amount of people we know in the saw world, (and the number of saws most of us already have), is there any need or reason to buy a saw from someone you don't know? Awful lot of shady operators out there.
