The European Wood-Mizers have much better log deck options. I saw long logs often, and there is definitely an issue sawing between 20' and 25'. 25' to 50'+ is actually easier.

Great mill, Wolfgang. Those driven toeboards and the extra end supports you added should be standard, but Woodmizer acts like they don't know that they exist over here🤷

That Kubota is a great engine, you probably have the best version of an LT40 that Woodmizer ever made!

My first sawmill had the Kubota engine on it. WM quit using the Kubota engine in 2002 over here. I actually thought it was a great match up to the LT40 and it probably would have done great on a LT70.
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

I was told Wood-Mizer wasn't buying enough to keep Kubota interested.

mmm interesting. what woodmizer is doing in the us. Here in EU this wht i did is super reare. If u ask them,,,, u dont need that...
The next changewhat i have in mind is to change the disk form the height, so it will rise faster.
And the disk (Sorry dont know the word, where the belt is running on thing,xD) ffcheesy for the blade speed.
I put my gas engine to the max rpm. so i can cut super fast.
If some of u made changes likes this, pls let me know.
Grüße Wolfgang

Pully, Wolfgang😊

I don't remember from your video, is your mill a Standard Hydrauluc or Super Hydraulic? The Kubota diesel equipped Super Hydraulic's had a larger belt drive pulley than the Standards, for a faster blade speed. The Standard got a 30 horsepower Kubota, the Super Hydraulic got a 40 horsepower Kubota. They were both a V1505 model, but the Super's engine was turbocharged.

Hi here in Eu it is a super hydraulic, i dosnt matter wich engine. My 26 hp gas had 2 pumps. And yes the belt is 3 ripps wide.
and its a 33 hp engine, no turbo.....
greetings Wolfgang

If it is the non-turbo engine, I bet that it runs the smaller pulley with lower blade speed. But, being an EU machine, it could be anything.
