Hello I am a lifelong Husqvarna user and have been having issues with 562(late mk1) saws losing a bearing seal and prematurely self destructing after prolonged use. (multiple)

I am not a pro mechanic, just an operator. I typically run 8 to 10 tanks of fuel through a saw daily, 4 to 5 days a week. I regularly clean the air filters and use non ethanol gas, 45 to 1 mix with husq. hp+ mix oil.

I own and extensively use the 572 and have had zero issues with them besides being 14.5 lbs to start with, and my shoulders not being what they used to be.

I am considering replacing the 562 and am pondering a replacement. I have no experience with stihl chainsaws. 99% of woodcutters in my area use husqvarna. Does anyone have info regarding heavy commercial use of any of these? 562 mark 2, ms362, ms400, or a ms462 as a possible replacement? I'm cautiously optimistic for a 562 mk2, but they are out of stock currently at my local dealer.

What I am hoping for is a durable saw that is lighter than a 572. I'm not interested in a race saw that I will have to leave in the shop for warranty work for weeks at a time on a regular basis. Any information is appreciated, thank you.

Iirc they fixed that bearing issue with the mk ii'2. I know @Spike60 is extremely familiar (dealer). Maybe he can weigh in on the problem.

Bearing issues were fixed before the M2 edition. Problem was bad seals lips from the bearing vendor. Sometimes a problem is inherited from the supply chain. But the OEM has to solve it.

I retired a year and a half ago, and I've still not even seen the M2. Don't want to as ill feel like I gotta have one. And I DO NOT need another saw. (Yeah, I'll cave at some point) But........if it's as much of an improvement as they made with the 550M2, then it should be a great saw.

I have ordered a mark 2 and decided to stick with husqvarna. Mostly so that my bars and chain are interchangeable with the 572 if need be. If I were in my 20s I would stick with the 572, but 20 odd years of doing this full time says I need to downsize unless I'm in big wood.
