Anti-squirrels

I know that squirrels gotta eat too but my bird seed feeder hangs by three chains and when squirrels dismount, they tend to flip it over spilling the seed.  That plus the feeder is a 'treat station' not a filling station.

I joked on Robert's Custom Rifle topic about tuning my shooter which got me to thinking 'hey, that could work'.


I got er sighted in to butt popping consistency @25' and they jump sky high and leave when popped so we shall see.

I soon had to start shooting off of my left shoulder to prevent them from seeing me as I lean out of the door.  Yup, smart and always watching.

I like my Browning A5 Magnum Twenty.  No second chances.  In season, of course!
I overhauled it with a spring kit from Art's Gun Shop and installed an OEM left hand safety button from Midwest Gun Works.
It was used well and stored in a fleece lined case, so I don't mind using in the woods.

I don't know how many squirrels I have but 5-6 have sore butts.  I am seeing only birds for now anyway.

Please be aware that bird feeders are bear attractants.  Here in VT they recommend removing bird feeders when bears arouse from hibernation.
In the meantime keep practicing.

This week I posted the only trail cam picture of a bear that has ever been made which was deeply within my farm property which is 46 miles away.

The day that I am concerned about bears here will be the day that I invite you down to go ice fishing with me.

I did not realized the picture was at the farm.  I thought it was at your house.
I do not have the patience to go fishing.  Now if you plan on fishing with hand grenades or dynamite then I might consider it.  I like quick results.
