Hey there Quartlow, since this Jon guy obviously hasn't got a real father, why don't you adopt him.  not only would you be a fantastic influence, but alos he would probably work for nothing as sons are supposed to do. :D :D

Seriously though, You have done him a great and valueable service allowing him to prove to himself and, no doubt, to his wife  that he is actually a worthwhile human being with abilities beyond his current comprehension.

WELL DONE!!!!!!

Well I didn't kill him  :D He actually showed up here at 9 sunday morning. I told him to stop by so I could pay him. I figured I would see him late in the day. Had to ride over to the bank and hit the ATM machine. Left Nancy and the baby at my house with the wife.

He told me he has never worked that hard in his life, even though he was wore out at the end of the day he said he felt good about it. Oh though he is convinced my family is half crazy. Found out that while we where playing in the woods Harry came by and fixed the door, ended up replacing the whole thing. Pulled the old woodburner out and asked Nancey if she had any color preferances for paint. He told me he couldn't figure that one out, he figured Harry would never fix anything.  ;D

After they left the wife told me that Nancy told her he couldn't believe someone would actually help out a stranger like this.

Monday I took him over the mill and he filled out an app, Jerry asked me what I knew about him and I told him not that much really. Told him I worked him like a dog on saterday and he held up ok for me. Told him he was going to have to train him, but Jerry likes em like that, says people who don't know their way around a mill don't have any bad habits to break. So he started there today, If I don't hear anything bad by the end of the week I'll find out something when I go over to get feed ground on friday. Keep your fingers crossed folks I'm hoping this doesn't bite me in the butt.  :o :D :D :D

Like I said we will see what happens, I'm not one of the types that has a lot of friends, a few. I know a lot of people. So if I gain a good friend out of this in the end thats fine. Scary part is its kind of lonely around here with out him  :D :D :D :D :D :D

When do you start on his father?  I think he is in desperate need of a touch of  What the real decent side of the world can be like.

Not worried about that man Ernie. I figure it's his loss.

some people can't be educated and I just kind of figure he's one of them. I did what I'm gonna do. mending fences is their problem I'm not getting in the middle of that. done that once won't never do it again.  ::)

Jon and his Dad will either work it out or not.
