Paul, Carla (wife) Lucy and Mary have gone.   They had planned on leaving for home around 2 this afternoon.    Well, homemade deli sandwiches at noon, a two gator tour of the Tree Farm at 1:30 for an hour and a half, warm, freshly picked wild black berry cobbler by wife Alice, and covered with Tillamook French Vanilla icecream, along with some long good-byes, they were finally able hit the road with the resaw unit anchored down, around 5:00 o'clock.  So much for well set plans.

What a delightful family to spend an evening out to dinner and most of the next day with, eating and sharing the Tree Farm.  A very big thank you to Paul's wife, Carla and my wife Alice for putting up with a couple of sawdust brained sawyers.

Yes, they did Tom.  They left him in charge of the kiln.  :'(

We just walked in the door 24 hours after leaving Dallas.Stopped a few places in Washington to get a Hotel room but everything seemed to be booked from Chehalis North to Tumwater. Then it finally dawned on me that my shirt and hat were dirty from crawling around on the resaw and some of the cool equipment that Frank has around his place.I was told that there was no Vacancy in Tumwater so Carla went in the next place and we got a room.  ::)

We had a really good time in Dallas and Frank and Alice couldn't have treated our family any better.

Thank you both  8)

Well, the company and laughter you folks shared was absolutely delightful for us as well.

As to getting a room, it is a good thing you did not explain why you were looking like you did and from where you had been.  The state boys would have locked you up for sure, for having been associated with me. 8) 8) 8) 8)

Thinking that we might never have the opportunity again, I, along with my wife and two daughters took off for a trip to the Pacific. We went to Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, the Chandelier tree near Leggett (the redwood that you can drive your car through), Dallas, Oregon, Portland, Nampa, Idaho to visit my father's grave and back to Utah. A total of 2250 miles at a cost for gas of $250.50. (26.7 miles per gallon in a Dodge Caravan.)

In Dallas we got to meet Frank and his wife, Alice--but only for about one hour as we had to get to Portland and were behind schedule. Frank gave me great demo of his Mobile Dimension saw. He sure is a master sawyer with that mill.

We missed Paul and his family by just a few hours!  :(

There is no need to say 'unleaded regular gas'. It's all unleaded. Just say 'regular gas'. It's not the 70s anymore. (At least that's what my wife tells me.)

DanG sorry we missed you Doug  :-\ Kind of agonized over whether to stay overnight again but I had commitments and was pushing things as it was.

A person could spend a week at Frank's and not see everything.

Paul,
It takes many trips to Franks to see everything, I still have about 3 more before I get it all in.  oh, be careful, it can also get expensive.  :o

Do not forget the band saw, Paul.

I hear that he has it on wheels to move in and out of his shop, as needed to make room for other projects. :'(

Moulder needs to get covered for the winter.  I have it outside in an equipment yard.  :(

Trailer is great, and tows straight now.  8)

Frank,
That thing is big!  I still need to remount the motor on it.  The drive pulleys aren't aligned very good after I got done modifying it.  :(
