I have a small stack of nice pine, cut last summer that I managed to dry w/o any stain or warp and was looking pretty nice.  8)  However, it was in my way in my garage so I decided to move it outside earlier this summer.  With the drought and all I thought it would be OK, at worst the top board would get damp :-/
Last night I went out to get some to plane down for a project and with the recent rain, fount that the entire pile was soaked and had stained badly :'(  I hope I don't have to end up going to the lumber co to purchase their wood for this project :-[

::)Oh Well, the lawn does look better green than brown so I should be thankful for the rain.

Rick,
If the mildew/mold hasn't been there too long you can stop the growth with a 3-1 chlorine laundry bleach (clorox etc.) sprayed on all sides with a garden sprayer.

Tom,

3-1?  Is that 3 parts water - 1 part bleach?  Just Axing? :-/

Rick,

Since you grew up in western Kansas, you just forgot
that you were in Illinoy now where it does rain.

We just gotta get our our a in g and get us a lumber storage shed built.

By the way, are you sure there are trees in Kansas?
I don't recall seeing any a few years ago when I drove
through there. I remember you saying something once about trees in the town where your sister went to college.
