Whoops!  Now what do you do?

Looks like a job for a Big Sky Hook. :D

CHARLIE

Crikey mate! (I'm practicing my New Zealand accent) :P It's a good thing that truck wasn't on the highway when that happened. If I was the driver I think I'd want to have a serious talk with the mechanic about his maintenance. >:(

Jeff,
My friend at our Aurora, Illinois plant says
that this is a KO MOTT SOO.
You can't tell cause it's covered with dirt.
Nope!  wasn't my fault.
I am a software guy and that is definitely hardware.

Charlie,
That thing's too big for the highway. Well on second
thought, nobody would want to cut you off.    :D

Tom,
It would have to be a BIG SKY HOOK.

Whitepe,

where do you get these pictures. I looked at some of the links to pics on one  of your other threads and wondered if you was a heavy equipment mechanic. After I posted to the other thread I hope that this isn' t your equipment in these pics. If it where you had better get a second job to pay for repairs.Keep the Murphy ' s Law pics coming they are interesting to see other bad days. :o

Any good maintenance welders out there? Yea I can hold my own stick welding or on the mig. But that might need more than a few beads by the time that repair is done.

This type of repair I'm more comfortable with.

But all in all frame welding is what I'm most comfortable with

WV_hillbilly,

I'm an engineer for CAT. We have guys go on field
trips all the time all over the world. Many take interesting
pictures and they always seem to make the rounds
as email attachments in the office. I thought that folks
on the forum would get a kick out of some of these
pictures.

Gordon,
Nice pics of the collapsed front axle on the JD
and of the Steiger on the collapsed bridge.
Any story behind any of those pictures?

Here's a picture of me on a trip last year.
Can anyone guess where I am? Be specific.
Gee I just love these forum contests.

I dunno where you is in the pic, Whitepe, but it shore is a mess!  Looks like the Turks or Vandals, or F16's, or somebody like that has been there.

One of the neatest bumper stickers I've seen was on the local CAT dealer's truck.  "If it ain't a CAT, it's a dog."    :D :D

Charlie, You got the right hemisphere and Tom's
pretty close too.  The picture was taken on May 11, 2001
at an old muslim fort named Golconda about 10 miles outside of Hyderabad, India in Southeastern India. The high
temperature that day was 115 degrees fahrenheit.
The fort was originally built about 400+ years ago and was occupied by a muslim king up until right after Indian Independence Day
which was August 15, 1947 Soon after that, an Indian army descendedon the fort and the muslim king decided it was best toleave peacefully.  The only inhabitants of Golconda
today are bats, lots of them.  Golconda was the
place where the Hope Diamond was found.  See
