I am perticipating in a forestry survey about forestry consultants. It is part of an undergraduate thesis and includes participants from several provinces with questions tailored to each province. Most of the questions are asking an opinion, others ask about education level of participants,  and certification. Have any other foresters or forest technicians on the forum been involved in these types of surveys? What's your opinion?  :P

Done a couple over the years, Donk, exactly the same as what you describe; undergraduate thesis.  Did it to help out a fellow forestry student,  and I hope I did.

Both were one-shot surveys, no extra followup survey or anything else.  Took maybe 15-20 minutes each.  I remember thinking some of the questions were a little odd, but just figured the student was tailoring them to get the info he needed.  One student offered to provide copies of his survey results, I asked, he did.
